TikTok Integration

This page documents how ZM Central IA uses TikTok for Developers products.

Login Kit

Login Kit is used to let a user connect their own TikTok account through TikTok's official OAuth authorization page. ZM Central IA does not request or store TikTok passwords.

user.info.basic is used to identify the authorized account and display basic profile information so the user can confirm which account is connected.

Content Posting API / Direct Post

video.publish is used to publish user-reviewed content through TikTok's Content Posting API. Before a Direct Post request, the user reviews the media, caption, privacy setting and posting choices.

The app records the returned publishing identifier and checks publication status. Ambiguous network results are reconciled rather than blindly reposted, reducing duplicate-publication risk.

Security

Tokens are stored encrypted server-side.
OAuth state is random, one-time and short-lived.
Scopes and connection health are checked before publishing.
A user can disconnect the integration and request deletion of stored connection data.
